Regular Day Schedule (2024-25)

Normal Instructional Hours GrK-7

  • 7:30 am - Instruction begins
  • 2:15 pm - Dismissal

Attendance is taken daily at 7:35 am.
We will not dismiss K-7 students after 1:45 pm.

Normal Instructional Hours PreK

  • 7:30 am - Instruction begins
  • 1:45 pm - Dismissal

Attendance is taking daily at 7:35am.
We will not dismiss PreK students after 1:15pm.

Snow Day Schedule

K-7 Inclement Weather/School Closure Policy 
APS has moved to asynchronous learning on days when schools are closed due to inclement weather. Prior to Thanksgiving Break, teachers will send home a student work packet via student backpack. These materials are for student use on those days.  No technology will be required.

K-7 Weather Related School Delay
In the event of a two hour delay due to weather conditions, classes will operate as follows:  

  • Arrival - 9:30 am 
  • Dismissal - same as normal

PreK Inclement Weather Policy
Preschool students will NOT be participating in asynchronous learning when APS closes schools due to severe weather. Teachers and educational assistants may work from home on these days and complete professional duties or at their school site if it is safe to travel on these days. 

PreK Weather Related Delay
In the event of a two hour delay due to weather conditions, AM Special Education Preschool Sessions will be cancelled for the day but PM Special Education Preschool Sessions will continue at their regular time. NM PreK Programs will be on a 2 hour delay and will start two hours later. All Teachers and Educational Assistants will be expected to report to work as soon as safely possible no later than two hours after their original start time.
